A Chef and a Story of Food . .

Mattias is one of the very few private chefs in the area who has worked his way up to the top by putting in years in restaurant kitchens around California and Europe, with 19 years as a restaurant chef, and 10+ years as a private chef cooking for clientele from all walks of life.

You will be treated to seasonal California rustic food with what is best of what is available for the time of the year, with robust flavors honed over years in professional kitchens.

Mattias is Swedish-born and bred - living in Santa Barbara CA since 1991, He is very much Influenced by two amazing cooks in his mother and grandmother who would put us all to shame if they had been cooking professionally.

Mattias's first restaurant experience was an apprentice job at a German restaurant in Sweden at age 12, and his first kitchen job at age 15, first came to the US at age 17, did Swedish military service at age 19, and first US kitchen job at age 21.

You will always have Mattias as your chef, there will never be a substitute chef so make sure you get your date before it is gone as there is very limited availability.
