LOS ALAMOS TASTING RECOMMENDATIONS
Bedford Winery
It is a winery for the adventurous who seek the uncommon, value authenticity, and are captivated by character. Along with barrel-fermented Chardonnays and signature Syrahs, there is always the surprise of lesser-known or forgotten varietals such as a Tempranillo or Pinot Gris to ponder, along with intriguing red blends.

A Tribute To Grace
Angela Osborne moved to California in 2006, with the dream of making Grenache. Originally from New Zealand, where the climate is believed too cool for Grenache, she chose the abundant sunshine of Santa Barbara County to make her first wine. Named after her Grandmother, A Tribute to Grace Wine Company was founded in 2007, and is based in Los Alamos, CA. The winery and wines are dedicated to her two favorite things: her Nana, and her most beloved attribute. Winemaking focuses entirely on Grenache, with eight single-vineyard offerings, a Rosé of Grenache and a SBC blend.

Clementine Carter Wines
Elevating our cool climate Rhône varieties grown right here in Santa Barbara Wine Country are the focus of Clementine Carter. We love it all - particularly Grenache and Mourvèdre. Grenache is a crazy challenging grape to farm. Big clusters, big berries, thick skins (contrary to what books will tell you. We are different here). Farming Grenache is all about nuance. Finding the right zone with the correct balance to elevate the sexy, elegant, finessed tingles beautiful wine can impart. I have had the privilege of working with almost every Grenache vineyard in Santa Barbara County searching for the ones that resonate with me and my goals - to deliver a pure wine experience with pure intention. I have made a lot of Grenache in my 20 years making wine and I joke that I don’t really know what Grenache tastes like. Each wine should taste likes its home.

Dovecote
Dovecote Ranch and Estate Winery is dedicated to growing and crafting wines that allow the beauty and character of our land to speak through them. Our 30-year old own-rooted vines and sandy-limestone soils produce small quantities of intensely concentrated cool-climate Rhône fruit, with the daily marine influence slowing and extending ripening for uncommon complexity and grace.

Lumen Wines
In 2012 Will Henry and Lane Tanner ran into each other in the Santa Maria Valley, and realized that they shared a common vision: to make wines from the best cool-climate vineyards in Santa Barbara County, and to follow a regimen consistent with California’s early days of hands-on, honest winemaking. The duo asserts that the most balanced (and thus memorable) wines are made from fruit that is picked relatively early on the harvest calendar, the end result being a wine that is livelier on the palate, deeper in complexity, lower in alcohol, and more worthy of cellaring.
